Event: In the afternoon, enjoy ski films in the auditorium, chat with ski patrol members, or meet fellow skiers at an outdoor fire pit.

Lassen Gateway Coalition Meeting

Date/Time: April 20, 10:00 am.
Location: Park Headquarters, Mineral, CA.
Event: Local community tourism and business leaders are invited to celebrate the Lassen and NPS centennials.

Eruption Celebration

Date/Time: May 22, 1:30 to 2:00 pm.
Location: Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Event: Join USGS scientists and other special guests in cllebration of the 1915 Lassen Peak eruption.

USGS Presentation

Date/Time: May 24, 2:30 to 4:00 pm.
Location: Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Event: Join USGS scientists for highlights of Lassen's 1915 eruptions and the park's role in the research of volcanism and volcanic hazards.

Reach Higher Trail Challenge Kick-off

Date/Time: June 11, Various.
Location: Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Event: Complete at least three hikes during your visit to earn a free commemorative bandanna featuring a special centennial design. Continues throughout summer.

Ribbon Cutting and Inaugural Campout at the new Volcano Adventure Camp

Date/Time: June 30, Time TBD.
Location: Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Event: Lassen Volcanic National Park will cut the ribbon on a new permanent adventure camp that will introduce youth groups to the park, camping, and opportunities to learn about the natural and cultural history of the park.

Summer Film Festival

Date/Time: July 16 and 17, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Location: Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center and Loomis Museum.
Event: Explore the park through film at this free event featuring a selection of short and full-length fims ranging in topics from volcanoes to astronomy.

Reach the Peak Official Trail Dedication

Date/Time: July 30, 10:00 a.m.
Location: Lassen Peak Trailhead.
Event: Join us for an official dedication of the rehabilitated Lassen Peak Trail featuring a special presentation with refreshments followed by a ranger talk on the summit.

Day in the Park Festival

Date/Time: August 6, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: Manzanita Lake Area.
Event: Celebrate Lassen Volcanic's 100th birthday at this fun festival featuring family activities, displays, music, barbecue, ranger-led programs, and a raffle. The Barbecue is a fundraiser.

Volcano Adventure Camp Ribbon Cutting

Date/Time: August 6, 10:00 a.m.
Location: Volcano Adventure Camp.
Event: Commemorate the new Volcano Adventure Camp with a tour of the facility developed to introduce young people to camping and adventures in Lassen Volcanic National Park.

Naturalization Ceremony

Date/Time: August 9, 11:00 a.m.
Location: Manzanita Lake Amphitheater.
Event: One hundred new US citizens will take their oath to this country exactly one hundred years from the day Lassen Volcanic National Park was established.

Dark Sky Festival

Date/Time: August 12, 13, 14. Times: Various.
Location: Various, Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Event: Special programs, presentations, hikes, and Junior Ranger Night Explorer activities will be offered both day and night during the festival.

Art & Wine of Lassen

Date/Time: September 17, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Location: Lassen Volcanic National Park, Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center.
Event: California Guest Services and Lassen Volcanic National Park invite you to celebrate National Public Lands Day with this free event. Free local wine tasting, and art exhibits and demonstrations will be available. Food specials will be available at the Lassen Cafe inside the visitor center.
